Fiona

Bio

My Fiona is my best friend - she's short but confident, and loves to create situations in which she can guard. Which means she's a quirky little dog. Fiona shadows me everywhere I go; she loves to make sure I'm doing okay, and always checks in to see if I need her help with anything. It's been a very intriguing and heart warming journey growing together with Fiona. I've always had a family dog, but Fiona was the first dog I ever took on singlehandedly and our relationship has been transformative, benefitting us both. We've both grown in more positive ways since first meeting one another outside of the doggy daycare I worked for back in 2012. When I first came across Fiona, she was homeless, and compared to domesticated pups she seemed quite feral. We've come such a long way from that, and I couldn't be more proud of what we've accomplished together as one another's companion. Now she's a bundle of love that understands herself in nearly all contexts. Fiona went deaf almost three years ago - so now she understands her environment visually and works very hard to perform in accordance with her surroundings. I'm so impressed with this little yellow girl of mine and what she's had to overcome. I wake up every day so grateful that she is in my life.
